Bullying

Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP)

Developed by Dan Olweus, OBPP is a comprehensive intervention to prevent bullying in schools. Developed in the 1970’s, OBPP is considered to be the first scientific research into bullying. It uses school-wide, classroom, individual and community-based components designed to improve school climate, to create new norms to prevent bullying behavior, as well as reduce related negative behaviors such as truancy and vandalism. It has been used in elementary, middle and high schools throughout the U.S. and internationally.
